About Dr. Marc Huisman
Dr. Marc Huisman is Program Manager at Brightlands Materials Center.
He started his career at the Institute for Composite Materials in Kaiserlautern, Germany, with research and development in the field of crashworthiness of thermoplastic composites. Then, he worked 17 years at DSM in various areas and locations, i.e. Design Engineering and CAE at DSM Research, Application and Global Segment development of reinforced plastics for safety systems in Research & Technology of DSM Engineering Plastics, The Netherlands, Manager Application Development APAC at DSM Asia Regional HQ, China, and innovation management Advanced Thermoplastic Composites at DSM Engineering Plastics in The Netherlands.
Joining BMC in 2017, he took responsibility for the program Lightweight Automotive at Brightlands Materials Center which is a collaboration between TNO and Province of Limburg. He’s leading an applied research team in the field of material and process technologies for sustainable and durable use of thermoplastic composites.
