About Marjan Hemstede

Mrs. Marjan Hemstede – van Urk studied Physics & Astronomy (drs.) at Utrecht University (2006) and got an Executive MBA at Nyenrode Business University (2012). Furthermore she completed the Weiterbildungsstudium Kautschuktechnologie (rubbertechnology) at the Leibniz University Hannover and German Institute for Rubber Technology (DIK) (2018).

In 2006 she started her professional career at DSM, followed by LANXESS and ARLANXEO. She has over 14 years of experience in marketing and technical service and application development in the European chemicals and polymers industry, of which 12 years in elastomers. Her functional experience includes marketing, business development and since 2017 she is active as manager technical service & application development for several countries within Europe including the Benelux region. The main elastomers she works with are HNBR, EVM and CR, but also include other polymers from Arlanxeo.

She is married and has two children.
